24/7 Emergency Car Decontamination Crews
Facing the consequences of a biohazard spill in a car is distressing to say the least. Rest assured, if you are seeking a professional biohazard car detailer to take care of the situation, you are making the best possible decision.
Exposure to biohazards can cause serious health symptoms and side effects. Direct contact with a pathogen alone can cause life threatening illness, and should be reduced at all costs. Fully trained professional staff should be the next step to properly remediate and restore the vehicle.
These services are for any situation involving a car that has been exposed to blood, bodily fluids, animal waste, or other harmful pathogens (e.g. an infectious disease). This is a broad definition that can refer to any situation from an animal that found its way into a vehicle and defecated in it to a suicide or a tragic car shooting.
Since being established as a trusted and reliable community partner for over 20 years, the National Crime Scene Cleanup Association (NCSC) has seen it all. Dangerous situations that range from homicides to car accidents affect families and communities. NCSC's crews are deeply motivated by being a part of the emergency response units that make the difference for families afflicted by these types of tragedies. NCSC is proud to provide service to all areas of the contiguous United States. Crews are available 24/7/365--including holidays--to respond to all kinds of emergencies.

Trained In All Emergency Biohazard Situations
Below are just a few recent situations the NCSC crews has taken care of. Being in the industry for over 20 years, NCSC has addressed hundreds
biohazard car situations. NCSC crews are able to respond to any situation contaminated by biohazards--from hoarding to ambulance decontamination--so rest assured NCSC can most likely help you, even if your situation isn't listed below.
Car Birth
A happier occasion than a drive by, car accident, or shooting, the birth of a baby that’s a bit too excited to wait is a situation NCSC is very familiar with. When a birth happens in a car, blood, amniotic fluid, and other bodily fluids can contaminate and seep through the paneling or carpeting of a car. These situations must be handed properly, under the supervision of trained professionals like NCSC.
Car Accidents
No one wants to ever imagine having to take care of a loved one (or their own) bodily fluids after a car accident. That’s why NCSC offers services to take these types of stressors off the shoulders of healing individuals and their families. NCSC crews are able to remove, replace, and restore applicable carpeting and paneling wherever the bio has been contaminated.
Biohazards On Mass Transit
Biohazards can create a mess on mass transit the same way they do in personal or commercial vehicles. Rest assured that NCSC will be able to take one major issue of your plate regardless on if there’s a blood spill as result of a drive by, an infectious outbreak, or an accident. Whatever and wherever the biohazards are, NCSC can help.
Fingerprint Powder or Residue
When a car is a part of a crime scene, detectives may use fingerprint powder to assist them as part of their investigation to find the criminal. Fingerprint dust in any capacity is undesirable to clean up after–and even known to contain carcinogenic ingredients. That’s why it’s important to have the situation properly taken care of by a trained HAZMAT team like NCSC.
Animal Car Collisions
NCSC is able to assist with car collisions involving animals. When there’s been a collision with an animal that results in animal bodily fluids on or in a car that isn’t deemed totaled, it is considered a biohazard that must be specially treated. The NCSC crews can take care of situations like these by removing potentially hazardous fluids, proper;y decontaminating the vehicle, and transporting all applicable waste per federal and local laws.
Drive By Shooting Cleanup
A drive-by shooting occurs when a car is shot by a perpetrator in an attempt to murder the driver or passenger inside the vehicle. These incidents usually occur as a result of gang violence in high-crime, low police patrolled neighborhoods. Perhaps one of the most memorable homicides of this type was the Tupac Shakur drive-by shooting in Las Vegas during the 1990s.
NCSC is equipped with the supplies and PPE necessary to handle these situations and dispose of the resulting waste legally. Please call the emergency hotline if you’re in this situation and need assistance to restore the vehicle.
Standard Biohazard Car Detailing Services
Below are some of the standard services NCSC provides as a part of the standard biohazard car detailing services. Please note that services may differ depending on the situation and your needs. When you call, an NCSC representative will walk you through the exact services required for your case when you call.
Preparation & Planning
A representative will listen to your situation over the phone, collecting and documenting information to determine costs, dispatch time, and supplies needed.
This information typically includes your name, the city or town, state of your location, and photos of the damages. Your car insurance policy information is also collected to bill the insurance directly.
Crews can be dispatched to mostly any where the car is located. In the past crews have been dispatched to police yards and tow yards. NCSC representatives work directly with authorities to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
Decontamination & Disposal
Crews will arrive with the correct PPE and cleaning supplies. Per federal regulations, only EPA registered disinfectants applicable for the situation are used.
While some surfaces can be wiped down, other aspects of a bio car decontamination involves removing and replacing carpet, panelling, car seats, or other contaminated surfaces.
Blood must be stored and disposed of specially. It must be removed and placed in color coded biohazard bags and containers and disposed of at special waste facilities.
Tested & Deodorized
The car is tested several times throughout the process using cutting edge ATP and air quality monitoring.
Cutting edge air scrubbers and HEPPA vaccums specifically made for use by cars are used to thoroughly scrub and deodorize the car.
Once the car is considered safe--both at a air quality and a bacterial level--NCSC issues a certificate of hygiene. A certificate of hygiene signifies that the car has been cleaned by a professional biohazard team and is considered safe for use.
Laws and Regulations
A professionally licensed, bonded, and insured biohazard car cleanup company must follow the laws applicable to the occurrence. There are federal, local and/or state requirements that need to be followed depending on the situation.
Full laws pertaining hazardous waste can be found on the respective governmental websites:
- OSHA
- EPA
- State Environmental Agency
- U.S. DOT (State DOT regulations also apply)
Regulations and standards apply to the disinfection, restoration, disposal, and transportation of the waste. It is a full scope job that often requires the assistance of more than one cleaner.
NCSC crews are proudly licensed and trained by all applicable organizations in the areas being serviced.
