In 2016, a National Crime Scene Cleanup Westchester area technician crew was called at 3:25pm about a suicide cleanup. Unfortunately, these calls happen more often than many in society would think and we are always prepared for helping people during this stressful crisis situation.   

The death was a handgun incident and National Crime Scene Cleanup scheduled a time to meet the family at their Yonkers residence.  After their point of contact gave our receptionist their information, we emailed them a DocuSign with a price quote on how much the services would be.

On most occasions, a suicide that involves blood, bed disposal, floor cleaning, sheetrock, drywall, or other cleanup is covered by homeowners insurance.  For this customer, NCSC customer care specialists were able to check with their local Westchester area insurance company about coverage.  The same day it was approved and the customer in this instance paid no out-of-pocket fees.  Our team of cleanup technicians arrived within 2 hours and restored the rooms back to normal living condition.
